Lina is a digital service designed to support cooperation between parents who share responsibility for a child.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Lina, including paid features.
By creating an account or subscribing to Lina, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Lina Is
Lina provides one shared, private space for two parents.
The service is designed to:
• support calm and structured communication
• store and display child-related information
• share photos, lists, and practical tools
• create predictability across homes
Lina is not a social network, public platform, or general-purpose messaging service.
2. Who May Use Lina
You may use Lina if:
• you are a parent or legal guardian
• you share or have shared responsibility for a child
• you are at least 18 years old
• you use the service in accordance with these Terms
Each Lina space is pair-based, intended for two parents connected around a child.
3. Accounts and Access
You are responsible for:
• providing accurate information
• keeping your login credentials secure
• all activity that occurs under your account
You may not:
• share your account with others
• grant access to third parties
• use Lina on behalf of someone else without authority
4. Acceptable Use
Lina is intended solely for cooperation related to a child.
You agree to:
• use the service respectfully and lawfully
• communicate in a factual and appropriate manner
• use features only for their intended purpose
You may not:
• harass, threaten, or pressure another user
• upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
• use Lina for commercial or promotional purposes
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you provide in Lina, including:
• messages
• images
• lists and records
• child-related information
Lina:
• does not claim ownership of user content
• processes content only to deliver the service
• does not sell or publicly share content
As long as two parents are connected in Lina, both have access to shared content.
6. Paid Service and Subscription
6.1 Subscription Model
Lina is offered as a paid subscription service.
Available plans, pricing, and billing frequency are shown before purchase and may vary by platform or region.
6.2 Payment Handling
Payments are processed by the platform through which you subscribed, such as:
• Apple App Store
• Google Play Store
Lina does not process or store payment card details.
Billing, renewals, and receipts are managed by the platform provider in accordance with their terms.
6.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your platform account settings.
6.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
After cancellation:
• access continues until the end of the paid period
• no further charges are made
Deletion of the app does not cancel a subscription.
7. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
However, by subscribing to Lina and gaining immediate access to the service, you:
• expressly request immediate delivery of the digital service
• acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal once delivery has begun
This applies in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m).
This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of defective or non-conforming digital content.
8. Personal Data and Privacy
Lina processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Details about:

• why and how it is processed
• how long it is stored
• your rights
are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
9. Service Availability
We aim to provide stable and reliable access to Lina.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to:
• maintenance
• updates
• technical issues
Continuous availability is not guaranteed.
10. Changes to the Service
We may modify Lina to:
• improve functionality
enhance security
• comply with legal or technical requirements
Material changes will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
11. Account Termination
You may stop using Lina and request deletion of your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
these Terms are violated
the service is misused
required by law or authority
When an account is terminated or deleted:
personal account information, such as login credentials and profile data, is removed
access to Lina is permanently disabled
Content that is shared with another parent (such as messages, photos, and lists) is not automatically deleted, as it may be jointly used or required for the other parent’s continued use of the service.
Certain data may be retained for a limited period where required by law or for security purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
All data handling upon termination is performed in accordance with GDPR and the Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of Liability
Lina is a cooperation tool.
We:
• provide structure and shared access
• do not verify user-provided content
• do not mediate disputes between parents
• do not monitor or review content for accuracy or completeness
Lina does not replace legal, medical, or professional advice.
To the extent permitted by law, Lina is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when necessary.
The current version will always be available within the service.
Continued use of Lina after changes means the updated Terms apply.

15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Lina is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws in the EU.
